Dance Dance Brownie Junior

Dance has been part of our culture for thousands of years. There are many forms of dance performed all over the world today, from ballet to ballroom and salsa to street. Most of the dancing we now see centers on recreation and self-expression, and it’s also an enjoyable way for people of all ages, shapes and sizes to stay fit and healthy.

Leap!  Roll!  Zig!  Zag!  Jump!  Dive!  Twirl!

Join Sweet Briar Dance students for an afternoon of movement and dance in Sweet Briar's Dance Studio Theater. We will start our afternoon together trying on movements inspired by dance styles like Modern, Hip-Hop, Ballet, & Jazz, and borrowing movement inspiration from Yoga, Capoeira, Gymnastics, and beyond. After we've learned some new and exciting movement, participants will get the chance to work with Sweet Briar student choreographers to create and perform new dance pieces of their own!

Please dress suitably to participate in this activity where there will be significant movement.

Saturday, November 5

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Troops are invited to come early & picnic on the grounds prior to the start of the program at 1:00 pm.

Cost: $5 per girl
